Hollywood Machine Keeps Ticking

Another week of awards shows and revelations as the Hollywood machine continued to tick over churning out more entertainment news.

Madonna and Taylor Swift on stage together

Awards

The Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards took place in LA over the weekend with big names attending including celebrity moms like Angelina Jolie who made her first appearance, since having more preventative operations, taking her flock of kids along with Katie Holmes who took Suri Cruise to the child friendly event. As usual their were plenty of performances with 5 Seconds of Summer performing and getting slimmed along with awards being handed out with the Modern Family cast winning and, you guessed it, getting slimmed.

It wasn't just the kids that had fun this weekend with the 2015 iHeartRadio Music Awards taking place hosted by Jamie Foxx who even sang a song about being an "African-American Sniper". Fortunately he wasn't the only performer with Taylor Swift joining Madonna on stage for her performance but it didn't end there with performance from Sam Smith singing "Lay Me Down" and Snoop Dogg performing "Peaches N Cream" along with Rhianna performing "Bitch Better have my Money" for the first time. But it wouldn't be an award show without awards and there were plenty given out with Taylor Swift being the biggest winner of the night.

Celebrities

Outside of award ceremonies celebrities were busy with Robert Pattinson getting engaged to FKA Twigs. Jay Z took on a new venture when he announced a new streaming music service joined by a plethora of celebrities. Trevor Noah was named the new host of the Daily Show but it was soon followed by backlash after old tweets he had made were deemed offensive.

From there it all went downhill with Lil Wayne saying he had sold his mansion after an earlier swatting incident and music legend Joni Mitchell made an emergency visit to the hospital after being found unconscious. Things weren't pretty in the Williams household with Robin Williams kids fighting with Robin's third wife over his estate. In TV land Justin Bieber's roast was finally aired on Comedy Central as a transparent excuse to gain forgiveness for his recent behaviour and finally we end the week with another documentary about unusual behaviour when the "Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief" documentary aired with claims that Scientology had control over John Travolta, which explains a lot.

Let the Fashion Weeks Begin

That time of year has rolled around again with designers descending on New York City with their latest wears to kick off the Fashion Week calender.

Designers

A year of fashion weeks started in New York City with every designer a fashion conscious individual could image. Inspired and diverse the collections made their way down the runway with Carolina Herrera making waves with a collection inspired by water while Rebecca Minkoff took inspiration from punk rock princess Patti Smith and Derek Lam who hopped on the 70's style bandwagon featured flared monochrome pantsuits, ribbed turtlenecks, and culottes. The 70's inspired many with Tommy Hilfiger's show taking place on a makeshift football field while Calvin Klein brought a version 70's sex appeal with manipulated leather and wool with patchwork and frayed details.

What would fashion week be without Diane Von Furstenberg who focused on Knitwear & Lingerie Stylings with Michael Kors embracing more masculine prints at the same time introducing feminine ruffles and gold accents. With the passing of it's name sake last year there were questions of it's future but the Oscar de la Renta powerhouse put all concerns to rest with a solid body of work anyone would be proud of. Vera Wang displayed a collection with a relaxed, almost pajama inspired shapes and sensual accents. However, it wasn't all plain sailing as Marc Jacobs showed with an offbeat, somewhat scary runway show in what resembled a derelict mansion with more crazy being brought in by Jeremy Scott in a psychedelic experience inspired by baby clothes and dolls.

DKNY had a mixture from ladylike dresses to sporty bombers while Banana Republic brought impeccable styling. The Lacoste show combined sport and luxury with Rag & Bone bringing lingerie worn in offbeat ways. Zimmerman brought femininity with pretty paisley prints, bold color-blocking, and major cut-outs while J.Crew had a solid collection with coats, bags and even a tuxedo onesie.

Celebrities

Of course celebrities made their way in droves to see the latest designs all clambering to be front an center with Sofia Coppola, Deborah Harry, Christina Ricci showing their support front row at Marc Jacobs show. But they weren't the only ones with Chrissy Teigen Susan Sarandon, Coco Rocha showing support for Donna Karen while Rihanna, Mary J. Blige, Uzo Aduba, Christina Hendricks showed the love for Zac Posen. Fashion icons in their own right, Blake Lively showed her support front row at Marchesa while Sieanna Miller appeared front row at Calvin Klein.

The old guard made news this week in fashion with Naomi Campbell holding a fashion show for a good cause on Valentines Day. Finally Cindy Crawford stole the headlines this week when untouched photo's of her appeared showing an honest view of women.

Who's in the news? Hacked Celebrities (Follow Up)

Since The Fappening a few weeks ago and the response it was thought life would return to normal but it seems the hacker is back with even more photo's, this time with a new batch of celebrities to taunt.

New Celebrities

The second batch of photo's include Jennifer Lawrence again but also include actress Vanessa Hudgens and US soccer player Hope Solo and singer Avril Lavigne along with photo's of Amber Heard and Rhinna with many more listed. An understandably upset Gabrielle Union addressed the issue calling the hackers "vultures" victimizing women and children.

It's believed the new wave of photo's are from the original hack a few weeks ago and not a new security breach. Since the leak some of those affected have taken legal action against Apple and are trying to turn it into a class action lawsuit with the help from others affected by the hack.

Emma Watson

After Emma Watson's speech on feminism at the UN headquarters, and the new #HeForShe campaign, the supposed hackers claimed they would post nude photo's of Emma on a website for expressing her feminist views. Since then it has emerged that the threat and website was a publicity stunt to shut down the 4chan website where the original leaked celebrity photo's were found.
