Hurricanes and earthquakes brought the world to it's knees with damage everywhere from the United States to Mexico and various island nations with new concerns over Climate Change and it's possible contributions. Meanwhile Donald Trump continued his presidential run by stoking more tension, this time with athletes protesting during the national anthem. Elsewhere in the world of sports we saw the US Open come and go. Along with Donald Trump and the GOP's failed healthcare repeal comes an attempt at tax changes which would mostly benefit individual's like Donald Trump himself. In the world of entertainment we saw the Emmy Awards and it's cast of unlikely cameo's but most of the focus was on the beautiful people at the New York, London, Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks.

Natural disasters reached far and wide with Hurricane Harvey hitting the United States along with mud slides in Sierra Leone and China. Protests raged across the US with neo-nazi's and opposition clashing in the streets along with acts of domestic terrorism while Donald Trump enraged a nation with his comments. Barcelona suffered a terrorist attack while the fight against ISIS raged on. Taxes became a hot topic while Bitcoin saw changes to it's platform. The fight of the century came and went between McGregor and Mayweather and the stars celebrated at the MTV VMA's.

Into the second half of the year and nature took it's toll with earthquakes and flooding in various parts of the world. Corruption scandals hit Brazil and South Africa while the Trump Administration saw more controversies while the GOP controlled houses failed to repeal and replace Obama Care. Cyber currencies experienced wild swings and Brexit lumbered forward. In the world of sports we saw Wimbledon come to an end with Roger Federer claiming his 8th title and Garbine Muguruza beating Venus Williams. Comic Con brought incredible creations to life while a Bill Cosby retrial was set for November. On the technology front we saw more cyber crimes unfolding as the world becomes ever more connected.

Half way through the year and we saw more terrorist attacks in the UK while Brexit made an interesting turn with Theresa May's election gamble falling short. Donald Trump saw more opposition with plans for Trumpcare finally revealed and shock when he admitted he was being investigated. Bill Cosby's sex assault trial was declared a mistrial and in the world of technology it was discovered just how far the Russian's had hacked the US Election.

May's Headlines saw Donald Trump's problems grow with the Russian scandal and an overseas trip. Manchester, England was devastated by a terrorist attack on a concert where young girls were killed. In Business Bitcoin surged to a new high and the G7 summit saw world leaders get their first taste of Trump. On the sporting front the French Open took center stage along with the world of motor racing. The world of entertainment saw the Cannes Film Festival shine a light on stars of the big screen while the music world lost Chris Cornell. Lastly the WannaCry cyber attack made technology headlines with hundreds of business affected by the quick moving ransomware.
